HELICOPTER FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL HELICOPTER PROFESSIONALS 2011
Scholarship Job description:
This scholarship is for Helicopter Professionals already working in the helicopter industry, and who are in already in the Safety Management Field. The scholarship is meant to encourage a stronger focus on safety and safety education and training in helicopter operations.
Provides for full tuition for the Safety Management Systems (SMS) for Leaders course, a one-day management course designed to equip leaders to understand the compliance issues surrounding recent SMS regulations, gain latest thinking in building and integrating an effective SMS, enhance understanding of the business advantages of having an effective SMS and to develop an action plan for introducing an effective SMS. (Value of course is $450)
Course will be conducted by Baines Simmons Americas and typically offered at the Flight Safety International Training Center in Lafayette Louisiana. (Winner will be responsible for all attendant expenses for transportation, housing, etc.)
The HFI Board of Directors has appointed a Selection Committee to select the scholarship winners. One scholarship in this category may be awarded in 2011.
Scholarship also includes a full registration to HELI-EXPO 2011, in Orlando, Florida including a banquet ticket at the Salute to Excellence Awards banquet, courtesy of Helicopter Association International. Winner will be responsible for all attendant expenses for transportation, housing, etc.
Please answer questions completely. The application must be typed or legibly handwritten and all the questions on the form must be answered. Incomplete application packages will be rejected. Neatness, completeness and accuracy do count. Additional pages requested must be supplied.
Scholarship Application Deadline:
Must be postmarked by November 30, 2010. International applications must be postmarked no later than November 30, and received at HFI by December 10, 2010.
Scholarship Requirements:
Applicant must already be working in the helicopter industry, and are already in the safety management field.
