A postdoctoral NIH funded position is available immediately to study translational regulation of the human surfactant protein A, see AJP Lung Cell Mol Physiol 299:L5234-L534 or study splicing of the surfactant protein B. Our major research interests include study of mechanisms that may contribute to the individual variability in pulmonary disease susceptibility as well as the impact of environmental pollution and ozone in particular on human lung injury in the presence or absence of infection. A successful candidate must be a citizen, have experience in molecular biology, ability of independent thinking, and work well with others.
